Suamico board dissolves design review committee, transfers duties to zoning administrator

The Suamico Village Board adopted Ordinance 2024‑12 Monday to amend municipal code chapters 2 and 16 and eliminate the design review committee, moving review duties to the zoning administrator.
Zoning Administrator Dunks told the board changes in the code and the village’s review process made the committee redundant; he said appeals would still be available to the village board if the zoning administrator denied a permit. Trustee Andrews moved to adopt the ordinance and the motion passed by roll call 7–0.
Administrator Dunks said the change is intended to simplify routine review work and that applicants can still appeal decisions to the village board.
