The Suamico Village Board handled a slate of routine but consequential municipal items on Dec. 2, approving subdivision plats, accepting grants and authorizing a road reconstruction bid package.
Planning and zoning approvals - The board approved the final plat for Lost Veil Subdivision (≈20 acres, six buildable lots and one stormwater outlot) with conditions including final stormwater plan review, a developer’s agreement and payment of a $1,200 administrative fee; motion carried 7–0. - The board approved the final plat for Sunny Meadows (≈39+ acres, 15 buildable lots) subject to a developer’s agreement, stormwater plan completion and a $3,000 administrative fee; motion carried 7–0. - A two‑lot certified survey map for a Cravalian parcel (≈8 acres) was approved with a required pond maintenance agreement; motion carried 7–0.
Ordinances and resolutions - On its second reading the board approved ordinance 2024‑13 to shift appeals of a dangerous or potentially dangerous dog designation from the full village board to the public health and safety committee; the ordinance passed on a 6–1 roll call (Trustee Eckert recorded a Nay). - The board accepted $25,661.38 from Wisconsin Emergency Management through the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (Resolution 24016) to implement multifactor authentication, managed detection/response services and staff phishing training for 52 users over three years; acceptance carried unanimously 7–0. - The board approved a resolution of gratitude and acceptance of a Wisconsin DNR Forest Fire Protection grant (Resolution 24015) that will reimburse approximately $5,500 toward radio purchases; motion carried 7–0.
Public works and capital - Public Works presented a five‑year road plan and the board authorized bidding the recommended 2025 road reconstruction package within the approved budget of $1,059,052, with the contract including a clause allowing streets to be cut from the package if funding requires it; motion carried 7–0.
Consent and adjournment - The board approved the consent agenda (previous minutes, animal control and fire reports and the 2025 meeting calendar) and adjourned the evening’s meeting by unanimous voice vote.
Roll‑call tallies and motion language appear in meeting minutes; the village will return the cemetery ordinance to the board on Dec. 16 for a second reading after committee review.
