Suamico board unanimously approves lease addendum allowing improvements for Howard‑Suamico Historical Society

The Suamico Village Board voted unanimously on Jan. 20 to approve the first addendum to the lease with the Howard‑Suamico Historical Society, allowing for discretionary leasehold improvements.
Presenter Mister Krieger told trustees that the village attorney drafted the addendum, it was sent to the historical society, and the society is agreeable to the proposed terms. "They reviewed it and are agreeable to the terms on it," Krieger said.
Trustees asked about neighborhood feedback; Krieger said he had not heard objections from neighbors. Board members also discussed timing for planned fence work at the site; Krieger noted the fence work was scheduled to begin the following day.
A motion to approve the first addendum was offered and seconded. The board conducted a roll-call vote with Trustees Andrews, Eckert, McKeefree, Stevens and President Van Razon all voting aye; the motion carried 5–0. No amendments to the addendum were recorded at the meeting.
The approval authorizes the society to proceed with leasehold improvements consistent with the addendum; staff will manage implementation under the terms of the agreement.
