Garden City Council approves two resolutions and two appointments; adopts chambers-use policy

Garden City — At its Feb. 9 meeting the Garden City Council approved several routine items, including two resolutions that update administrative policies and formalize rules for use of the council chambers, and ratified two appointment recommendations.
The council voted to adopt Resolution 1234-26, a refinement of existing policy language and process clarifications that include small changes such as adding hyperlinks to code references and extending the public comment window from 15 to 17 days to account for mail delivery times. Miss Thorbauer (staff) said the edits were primarily clarifying and largely consistent with current operations.
The council also adopted Resolution 1235-26, a policy governing reservation and use of the council chambers and associated conference rooms.
