Henry County Council approves library encumbrances and planning commission transfers

A councilmember moved to approve transfers requested by the planning commission — $500 from advertising to office supplies and $1,000 from travel to office supplies — to cover a printer that is out of warranty and maintenance. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The council then took up a library request to encumber previously approved purchase orders. The chair read the figures: $74,750.99 plus an additional $13,890.50, for two encumbrances totaling $88,641.49. A motion to approve both encumbrances was made, seconded, and the chair announced the motion carried.
At the start of the meeting the council also approved the January minutes by voice vote.
