Ordinance 2026-01: The council approved amendments to the comprehensive plan and rezoned two parcels (501 & 503 East Market St., approximately 0.91 acres) from Highway Commercial to Urban Residential (UR-1) to permit a proposed cottage/tiny-home development. The rezoning vote passed by recorded roll call; the manager noted site plans and planning approvals remain necessary before construction or permits proceed.
Both actions change regulatory status but do not by themselves authorize building permits or final development plans. The planning department will oversee subsequent reviews and any conditions required by the planning commission.
