Vice Mayor Satterfield and Mayor Shane Taylor cited long community ties and steady service for John Torito; Commissioner Ramos praised Trushan Bacon’s inclusion agenda; Commissioner McMullen and others emphasized Chris Keller’s sustained volunteer work and attendance at meetings.
A later round produced the necessary consensus: Commissioners McMullen, Mayor Taylor and Vice Mayor Satterfield supported Keller. Keller took the oath of office, pledging to support the U.S. Constitution, obey Florida law and observe the town charter and ordinances.
