Syrian delegation welcomes unanimous Security Council press statement, cites integration agreement and foiled assassination attempts

A Syrian delegation addressed reporters at the United Nations to summarize recent diplomatic and security developments and to respond to questions about integration with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and allegations of terrorist activity.

The delegation said the UN Security Council adopted a press statement the previous evening and that 'All council members unanimously affirmed ... their commitment to the unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity of Syria,' and expressed support for the Syrian government, according to the delegation's speaker, Nasir. The statement, Nasir said, welcomed Syria's 'decisive action to secure and manage prisons' and the implementation of an integration agreement with the SDF.
