The St. George City Council voted to appoint Robert Myers as assistant city manager to provide additional executive leadership support as the city grows.
Council member Danielle Larkin moved to appoint Myers; the motion was seconded by Jimmy Hughes and passed unanimously. Myers thanked the mayor, council and city manager and introduced his family in the gallery, saying he was "so excited to have the trust of the council and of John to step into this huge leadership role for the community." Council members congratulated him and expressed confidence in his capabilities.
Myers will take on duties assigned by the city manager and will be part of executive leadership coordinating with departments across the city.
