The City of Columbia council on Feb. 12 approved a series of ordinances and resolutions, including the annexation of properties off Darks Mill Road, abandonment of a city right-of-way and first consideration of a planned unit development master plan.
On second and final consideration the council approved Ordinance 4579 to annex multiple parcels off Darks Mill Road into the city. Resident Justin Batt spoke in support, thanking council and staff for what he called a civil process. The motion passed by roll call.
Council also approved Ordinance 4580, authorizing the abandonment of Columbia Rock Products Road right-of-way and directing the mayor to execute quitclaim deeds to the property owner. The ordinance passed on second consideration by roll call.
