Library and historical society announcements: Josh Murray promoted upcoming West Covina Library programs for adults and teens on Dec. 10; Glenn (Historical Society) encouraged the council to consider designating the city's palm trees as historic landmarks to unlock grant funding for maintenance and reduce pressure on the general fund.
City response and next steps: The city manager publicly offered to facilitate meetings with council members and indicated staff will work to ensure materials distributed at meetings are added to the public record online. For the Valley Light Center complaint, the manager said he would follow up directly with the speaker to schedule a meeting and promised to address service or documentation questions.
