One speaker recounted a family loss in a past fire and said Bregalado’s longstanding connection to emergency services and multiple postings across the city gave her relevant experience for the role. The committee then took a roll-call vote: Councilmember Lee, Councilmember Price, Councilmember McCusker, Councilmember Soto Martínez and Councilmember Park voted yes, and the nomination was approved.
The committee record shows the appointment term is set to expire June 30, 2029. The presiding officer closed the item after members thanked Bregalado and expressed confidence in her willingness to serve.
