Norwalk honors Angel Project sponsors and Stuff a Bus volunteers and schools

At its Feb. 3 meeting, the Norwalk City Council recognized community partners who supported the Social Services Department’s Angel Project and Norwalk Transit’s Stuff a Bus program. City Manager Jesus Gomez and social‑services staff invited sponsors and school representatives forward for photographs with councilmembers and thanked volunteers and organizations that collected and distributed gifts.
Staff listed sponsor levels (diamond, silver, major) and named numerous local groups, clubs and businesses that contributed. The city said donations and volunteer sorting resulted in many new, unwrapped toys and gifts distributed directly to families; staff reported the combined efforts helped more than 1,500 Norwalk children and families during the season.
The council also viewed a short video summarizing the programs’ volunteer work and the social‑services center’s role. City staff thanked partners and noted the events demonstrate ongoing community support for families in need.
