Student speaker Bridal Weichel described the committee as an example of community involvement and urged the board and audience to focus on the district's work rather than incidental mistakes. Keegan Valdez likewise thanked trustees and stressed the long-term impact of board decisions on students.
Trustees and staff responded with thanks and congratulations; several board members singled out the students for their service and the administrators for supporting the committee's work.
