"I will be doing some lash treatments and facials and body care and body waxing," Erin said, adding that she anticipated starting with limited hours and scaling up to three or four afternoons per week.
Staff told the commission the city would require fire department sign-off as part of the business license process and recommended limiting visits to one client at a time, consistent with the home-occupation code intent to preserve the residential character of the neighborhood. Staff also noted that product sales to clients are typically permitted so long as the home is not used as a retail distribution center.
A commissioner moved to approve the permit using the information contained in the staff packet; a second was recorded. The commission approved the motion by voice vote. The approval is subject to the conditions listed in the staff report dated 02/05/2026 and any required fire-department inspections or other agency requirements. The applicant was instructed to sign required forms and return for any subsequent business-license steps; staff said the applicant could return to the commission after a 14-day appeal period if any objections are filed.
