At the Oct. 27 meeting Clear Creek ISD trustees approved several capital and procurement items totaling about $1.11 million in immediate contract awards and a $1,185,660 capital‑project package.
Facilities staff presented a five‑year facilities/asset‑management software (Brightly/BrightLink) intended to integrate condition assessments with maintenance workflows and long‑range planning; staff recommended purchase through the Omnia purchasing cooperative and estimated the commitment at about $390,000 through Aug. 31, 2030. The board voted to authorize the estimated expenditure and Omnia procurement.
The board also approved use of capital‑project funds totaling $1,185,660 (bond savings and capital contingency) to purchase seven SRO vehicles (upfitted for lights, radios and a K‑9 unit) and six white‑fleet vehicles for maintenance, CTE and transportation. After competitive solicitation staff recommended awarding the white‑fleet contract to ZT Motors of Texas d/b/a Ron Carter Ford for $364,699 and the police/SRO vehicle contract to OC Welch Ford Lincoln for $345,660 (the latter funded with 2023 bond funds). Trustees discussed local vendor outreach and scoring weights for proposals; procurement staff said they contacted dozens of vendors and will provide feedback to vendors on request.
All motions to award contracts and use capital funds were approved by voice vote with no recorded dissents.
