Delhi TownshipBoard of Trustees voted on Jan. 14 to approve several administrative and operational measures and to ratify multiple personnel actions for the township fire department.
The board adopted Resolution 2026-5, authorizing a 14‑month lease with the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library to operate a temporary library at the Carter Lodge while the library site is rebuilt; trustees said the contract will run through November 2027 and staff will continue summer programming at the lodge during the lease.
Trustees also approved Resolution 2026-3, requesting the county auditor make advance payments of taxes pursuant to RC 321.34, a routine annual administrative measure the board said speeds revenue disposition.
The board adopted Resolution 2026-4 to authorize the township administrator to spend amounts greater than $10,000 in fiscal 2026. The administration identified two items under the spending authority: up to $13,500 for fire radio equipment (final quote just under $13,050) and $40,000 for the Flock camera system for the police department.
Public Works presented and the board approved Resolution 2026-2, authorizing preliminary consent legislation with the Ohio Department of Transportation for traffic improvements at Delhi Avenue, Delhi Town Square and Clemmie Drive to prepare the project to go out to bid.
In personnel business, trustees accepted the voluntary resignations of part‑time firefighter/EMTs William R. Pisani (effective Jan. 30, 2026) and Tyler M. Hughes (effective Jan. 21, 2026). The board approved the hiring of multiple part‑time firefighters/EMTs (names given in the motions) contingent on successful completion of background checks, voice stress analysis, pre‑employment physicals and drug testing.
All resolutions were moved, the second readings were dispensed with where noted, and the measures passed by roll call or unanimous voice votes as recorded on the meeting agenda.
The board will continue follow-up work on procurement and scheduling related to the approved camera system and the ODOT traffic project; staff also said audit documents for the township's 2023–24 financials will be posted to the township website.
