Erin Vanderwall, who lives at 2942 Country Meadow Lane in the Prairie Meadows neighborhood, told the committee that traffic counts demonstrated heavy use and asked the county to install a four‑way stop "at the very least." She cited a count of 3,750 vehicles on the north leg and described fear for a family member learning to drive after witnessing a crash there. Vanderwall also said her neighborhood of about 75 houses generates a meaningful share of the through traffic and offered to circulate a petition.
Julia (Juliet) Pinkston, who lives on Prairie Meadow Way, also supported a four‑way stop with rumble strips. Pinkston noted farm equipment on Caledonia Road and said a stop with rumble strips would be a low‑cost, immediate improvement before any future roundabout project.
County staff noted the issue had been discussed previously and will be considered as part of traffic‑safety planning; no formal action was taken during the meeting.
