At the May 22 meeting the Banning Unified board approved a package of facilities, procurement and program agreements designed to prepare the district for summer programs and planned capital work.
Trustees approved notices of completion for multi‑site reroofing and painting projects at Nicolette Middle School and Banning High School. District staff said painting contracts were "below the $15,000 range" for the areas involved and roofing projects were approximately $10,000–$15,000 per room; staff offered to provide exact contract figures in a follow‑up.
The board approved the Banning High School CTE HVAC installation (bid 25‑003 to Leading Edge Air Conditioning) with a fiscal impact cited during discussion as $267,000. Trustees also authorized the long‑term lease of five transportation vans from D & M Leasing under the Sourcewell contract after the prior vendor could not fulfill the order.
The board approved program agreements for a school‑based wellness center MOU with Riverside County, the Boys & Girls Club after‑summer program for June–July 2025, and the Trailbytes Summer Enrichment Program; a trustee requested a future presentation describing Trailbytes across grade levels.
