Board approves Safe Streets plan contract, accepts $1,010 repository bid and awards $1.28M pump‑station rehab

At the meeting the board approved several procurement and bid actions affecting capital projects and property.
Transportation and pedestrian planning: The board authorized the township manager to contract with CDM Smith to develop a "Safe Streets for All" action plan at a cost not to exceed $176,750. Township staff said they received one proposal, are comfortable with the price and the firm has an existing partnership with the township on other projects. Staff noted 80% of the fee will be covered by a federal grant and the remaining expense is included in the 2026 budget.
Property repository: The board reviewed a county repository listing for a small sliver parcel on Alpine Road. After staff explained the parcel went unsold at tax sale and then to the county repository list, the board voted to accept Jonathan Nepper's $1,010 bid and remove the parcel from the repository list; staff said the bidder is an adjacent property owner.
Sewer infrastructure: The board voted to award the East York Pump Station Rehabilitation Project to Dolly Construction Corp in an amount not to exceed $1,281,001. Township staff explained the station (built in 1995) is a critical asset included in the capital improvements budget and the expenditure will be funded from the Springettsbury sewer fund.
All three motions were moved, seconded and carried on voice votes.
