Board approves ambulance code, Rogers Landing race permit and a letter supporting Grand Ronde lands bill

At the start of its Feb. 12 session the Yamhill County Board of Commissioners took several routine actions by unanimous voice vote.
The board conducted first and second readings by title and adopted an ordinance repealing ordinance 723 and codifying Yamhill County Code chapter 5.05 as the Yamhill County Ambulance Service Code, declaring an emergency to put the ordinance into effect immediately. The motion to adopt passed by unanimous voice vote.
The board also approved a mass‑gathering permit requested by the Newberg Boat Club in joint sponsorship with the Columbia Outboard Racing Association to authorize exclusive use of Rogers Landing Park for Memorial Weekend 2026 boat races (authorizing exclusive use from 5 p.m. Friday, May 22 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, May 24, with access on May 16–17 for pre‑race cleanup). The board waived fees down to cost, recorded as $250, and approved the permit unanimously.
Finally, the commissioners approved a letter of support for the 2025 Grand Ronde Lands Bill. All motions described above passed by unanimous voice vote.
Separately, the board approved a remanded conditional use permit for Grange Hill LLC (planning docket CDash03Dash22) and adopted an ordinance establishing the county administrator position, both by unanimous voice vote.
