Farmersville Unified board approves warrants, personnel actions, trips and a CSEA settlement; several items moved to closed session

The Farmersville Unified School District board approved a series of routine and substantive items at its Jan. 29 meeting, recording votes and next steps for services, personnel and facilities.

Money and routine approvals: the board approved release warrants dated Jan. 29, 2026, in the amount of $1,080,043.96 (motion by John Alvarez, second by Alice Lopez; vote recorded as 4-0). The board also approved the Jan. 27 regular board meeting minutes (4-0). Several student events and overnight trips were approved, including a father's/daughter's and mother/son dance on Feb. 20, 2026 at Farmersville Junior High School (motion by John, second by Zamora; carried 4-0) and a Northern California tournament trip in March (vote recorded with one abstention by Merced Zamora: 3-0-1).
