Board approves consent agenda, sets tax rate and awards safety work; personnel actions approved

The Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees approved several routine and action items during its Nov. 18 meeting.
Consent agenda: Trustee Neighbors moved to approve the consent agenda (minutes, monthly financial highlights, purchases over $50,000, JOC items, bond status, food service, enrollment and police reports); Trustee Kennedy seconded and the motion carried.
Tax rate: After presentations on the budget and the failed funding election, the board voted to adopt a proposed tax rate of 1.1669 for 2024-25 (maintenance & operations compressed to 0.6669; interest & sinking remains at $0.50). Trustee Major moved the ordinance; Trustee Neighbors seconded; the motion passed.
Security improvements: The board approved secured-vestibule improvements at Bill Burton Elementary ($16,557) and Rancho Sienna Elementary ($24,452) plus a $10,000 owner contingency for a total of $51,009.32 to be funded by the 2021 and 2023 bond programs. Trustee Neighbors moved the measure; Trustee Kennedy seconded; the motion carried.
Personnel: Following closed session, the board approved acceptance of listed resignations and approved employing personnel as presented. Motions were made and seconded on the record and both passed.
Votes at the meeting were recorded by motion and second; board actions were carried by voice vote unless otherwise recorded.
