Summary
The Winnsboro Main Street director said ticket sales for the upcoming concert series are progressing, with about 170 general-admission tickets remaining and three tables available; she also reported recent digital advertising raised site views and follower engagement sharply.
The Director of Winnsboro Main Street and Tourism reported the board's concert series is showing promising ticket sales and stronger online engagement ahead of the event.
In a director's report the Director said three tables remain available (one already reserved) and there are roughly 170 general-admission tickets left for the series the transcript calls 'Windsboro live country nights.' "This is gonna be a great success," she said, noting the event will include a properly reserved dance floor.
The Director outlined marketing activity tied to the concert and other events, saying the board's advertising relationship with County Line Magazine will continue through the summer and that the new ad campaign began Monday with a 50-mile advertising radius targeting Texarkana, Rockwall and Tyler. She said some Eventbrite advertising ran but proved more costly per click than Facebook, so the board shifted campaign emphasis to social platforms.
The Director provided site metrics: a reported 6% decline over 90 days with 644,000 views in that period, but since launching the new advertising she said the board is "up 90% instead of down 6," with 240,000 views in the last 28 days, about 18,000 engagements and net followers up 50%.
She also described event logistics: permitting is in place for craft beer and wine sales at the Civic Center in May, signage (including VIP and general-admission entrances) is being produced by J and M Signs, and the Chamber and Custom Creations are supporting beverage service and concessions. A point-of-sale and cash box will be available at the door for any remaining ticket sales.
A board member asked about handicap access and parking; the Director said the Civic Center currently has one handicap parking space on that side and she plans to convert three regular spaces to be adjacent to the sidewalk to improve access.
The Director said the Winnsboro rodeo association will assist with parking and with setup of a small beer garden/smoking area behind the Civic Center, and that the board has been coordinating with regional partners and Main Street organizations to broaden outreach.
The board did not take a formal additional vote on the concert details during the meeting; the Director said operational arrangements and advertising will continue to be refined in coming weeks.
