Success Foundation reports $584,000 in directed gifts and expanded student supports for 2025

John Shetler, president of the Success Foundation board, and Julie Hill, executive director, briefed the school board on the foundation’s 2025 work, noting investments in food security, music, athletics and career readiness programs.
Hill said the foundation "contributed $28,000 to support food pantries in 2025" and reported 33 school food pantries are operational across district sites. The foundation said it provided $135,000 for instruments in 2025 and has helped purchase 355 instruments over recent years. Hill also reported the foundation contributed "just under 150,000 in 2025 to athletics after school athletic programs at the fourth and fifth grade level." Other cited investments included $70,000 for CTE student kits and $145,000 toward a career explorer internship program.
Hill described an ongoing home Internet access initiative funded through the John W. Hafely opportunity fund, noting $33,004.46 supported home Internet access in 2025. The foundation also awarded slightly more than $37,000 through an innovative learning grant program to support projects across 10 schools.
Board members thanked the foundation for community support and for partnering with the district on events and student programs; trustees said the foundation’s work complements district mill-levy override and bond funding.
