The resolution substitutes corrected official ballot proposition language and clarifies the council’s intent that a portion of revenue collected would be remitted to certain state retirement systems for the security district.
Sponsor remarks said the earlier resolution adopted in December was substantively similar but failed to include required technical provisions in the notice of intent; the correction will allow the proposition to appear on the ballot in June. No public testimony opposed the correction; the council approved the resolution by recorded voice vote (6-0).
