Board approves architects/CM contract for Council Rock work, adopts two student‑health policies

"Really, it's only our agreement to continue to move forward with our partners at SWBR and, you know, a negotiated contract," Dr. Hargala said during the contract discussion, describing the approach to fee structure and oversight. The board approved the contract after questions and a second by Christina.
On policy, the chair read three items on second reading: policy 7513 (medication and personal care items), policy 7521 (students with life‑threatening health conditions) and policy 5661 (wellness). The board moved to approve policies 7513 and 7521 and tabled policy 5661 for additional review.
Board members said the Council Rock construction planning is intended to improve equity in classrooms and that owner‑architect‑construction‑manager (OACM) meetings have been used to plan work across 2025–2027.
