The Laramie City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 20 to approve a contract with Todd Feazer to serve as city manager.
Vice Mayor Richardson moved to approve the contract and Councilor Shumway seconded the motion. After brief remarks from staff and Feazer, the roll call vote recorded nine yeas and zero nays, carrying the appointment.
Feazer spoke briefly to the council before the vote, saying he was grateful for the opportunity and that he was "excited about it" and looking forward to continuing to work with city staff and serve the community.
Mayor Sharon Cumby recognized volunteers appointed to the Human Rights and Relations Commission earlier in the meeting and introduced Feazer during the personnel item. City staff present answered council questions about Feazer’s experience and service record; Director Russell noted Feazer’s municipal experience in Casper and Cheyenne and his prior roles in Laramie.
The council’s action finalizes a contract authorized at the meeting; no dissenting votes were recorded. The council did not specify an effective date in the discussion during the meeting.
