Committee members also described upcoming project phases: main building renovations and additions, then athletic fields and the LHS parking lot, with environmental consultant proposals received for design work. The committee said proposals for a new custodial services contract are out to bid and that remaining proceeds from the 2018 bond referendum will be used to complete security and HVAC work tied to the bond’s stated purpose.
Administration updated the board on school‑level capital work: Slackwood School will receive an ADA ramp, front‑step replacements, ceiling work (with a forthcoming agenda motion for about $130,000 to replace ceilings), LED retrofits and new carpeting; the intermediate school is out to bid for laboratory renovations and related installations. Officials said they expect some project awards in the coming months and that state aid numbers will determine the 2026–27 budget position.
No new appropriations or policy changes were voted on during the update; the board will consider specific awards and contract approvals at future meetings.
