Manor Independent School District trustees convened on Feb. 9 for a facilitated strategic-planning workshop that focused on revising the district’s vision and mission and selecting a concise set of strategic pillars to guide work over the next three to five years.
The board heard from a facilitator who outlined a process of prework review, paired discussions and chart-paper reporting that will feed a larger Strategic Planning Team (SPT). The facilitator recommended a 1½-day retreat and said a district this size could include 30–60 participants on the SPT, with about half the team drawn from staff and students and the remainder representing parents, business, higher education and social-service partners.
