Superintendent reports stadium finish work, says district has active Olympia requests

During superintendent comments, the superintendent reported that stadium turf work is nearly complete aside from a short punchlist and that contractors are finishing areas behind the north side (long jump, triple jump and high jump). He said crushed rock is being laid in spectator areas and that the project will include ADA access improvements to better accommodate viewers.

The superintendent also said district leaders are active in the state legislature in Olympia and that two district requests are moving forward. He declined to provide specifics at the meeting to avoid 'jinxing' the process. "We've been down in Olympia and if we're not in Olympia, we're talking to — we have some requests moving forward," the superintendent said, adding the district appreciates board involvement in legislative advocacy.

Board members thanked the superintendent and reiterated support for facilities work while praising the presenter and staff for progress in school culture and student programming. There were no votes or formal actions tied to the stadium or legislative update during the meeting.
