Chief Chopin said the department had $50,000 in the prior budget and had used roughly $11,000; the council approved adding the remainder (discussed in the meeting as about $44,000) to complete the design phase.
Staff confirmed the project manager and legal staff reviewed contracts and would proceed with finalizing the architect agreement. Council members voted to amend the FY 2025–26 operating budget to increase authorized expenditures for the architect contract and move the project forward to final design and bidding preparation.
