Commissioners approve $7,000 GIS ditches layer and a Motorola dispatch contract update

The GIS request was presented as a $7,000 invoice to add a layer that will display drains and ditches and support assessment and levy administration; commissioners approved the GIS layer addition by unanimous vote.
Julie Reicher reported the countys CAD/GIS server and licensing are out of date and that the county obtained a Motorola quote that was substantially cheaper than a prior $25,000 option. Staff recommended the Motorola solution for server and license updates; commissioners approved the contract, with a request that IT lead Dale remain involved in implementation and oversight.
Staff said they would coordinate with Dale and return any further procurement or implementation details as needed.
