City staff told the Laramie City Council on Dec. 2 that a sports facility study has kicked off and consultants from Barry Dunn and partner firm BRS will work with the city to gather community input.
Director Bork introduced the consultants and invited them to briefly present; Nikki Ginger of Barry Dunn said the team completed a site tour and referenced a prior assessment by BRS of the rec center. Ginger said community engagement will be a primary component and that the consultants will coordinate with parks and recreation staff to solicit feedback and ensure local priorities are heard.
The presentation was brief and councilors did not pursue extended questions at the meeting. Staff indicated they would follow up with schedules for community engagement opportunities and next steps in the study process.
