Council corrects ballot language, clears $49,847 recycling appropriation for voters' warning

The mayor then requested a motion to approve the language change and to authorize the treasurer to reissue the warning; the council moved, seconded and carried the motion by voice vote.
A member of the public asked about cost overruns and whether the recycling center cost could exceed the appropriation. The mayor responded that the session was a comment period and thanked the speaker. Council did not change the appropriation amount during the meeting.
The councils action is procedural: it corrects wording in the voter warning and permits the formal reissuance of the ballot notice so voters will see the corrected language. The correction does not change the amount requested ($49,847) or the intent of the Article.
The council carried the motion to reissue the corrected warning by voice vote.
