Jamerson said the center's current attendance rate is 92% and that staff track attendance weekly on a data wall to drive student-led accountability. She described prescreen outreach that reached roughly 915 students earlier in the year and noting a current center enrollment figure of 358 for grades 9–12. Jamerson said the center filled all allocated BCPS seats and added two additional seats for the year.
On achievement, Jamerson said the center's work translated into rapid progress: she said a 35% achievement gap was closed in a single semester and that, as of December, 93% of students in grades 9–12 maintained a C or above. She credited mentoring, research and project work, expanded recruitment and student ambassadors for that progress and invited trustees to visit the center and the upcoming research symposium.
Board members asked clarifying questions about enrollment flows, prescreening vs. final enrollment and how centers add students midyear; Jamerson said students are sometimes added at semester and that prerequisites and parent meetings are used to ensure fit.
