Pam Mueller, a longtime Sawyer County resident and former county child-welfare employee, was approved Feb. 10 to fill a vacancy on the Sawyer County Health and Human Services Board.
Mueller introduced herself to the board, saying: "My name is Pam Mueller, and I've lived in Hayward since 1987. I live in Round Lake Township, and I've worked for Sawyer County for 20 years in child welfare." She told the board she has served on the Sawyer County Housing Authority board for about six years and volunteers at the Northwoods Community Food Shelf.
Board members moved and seconded a motion to appoint Mueller to replace Carol Pearson; the chair called for a voice vote and the motion passed. No roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
The appointment follows the board's routine business that included approval of minutes and a small agenda revision at the start of the meeting. Mueller will join the board as members proceed with routine oversight of county HHS programs and planned follow-ups on staffing and program reports discussed at the session.
The board did not record additional conditions or a formal start date for Mueller in the meeting minutes included in the packet.
