Pittsford board approves consent agenda, contracts, reserves and food-waste pilot agreement

The Pittsford Central School District board approved minutes for May special and regular meetings, accepted the treasurer's report for April 30, 2025, and approved a variety of routine business items in the consent agenda.
Among business actions the board approved: a Transpo Bus Services LLC contract for ESY2025, the district's 2025'26 food-service budget and pricing, acceptance of fund-balance management and reserve recommendations, budget transfers for out-of-district special-education placements and technology, reduction of the teachers' retirement reserve, an auction-of-buses resolution and declarations of surplus and obsolete athletic equipment and food-service equipment.
The board also approved an intermunicipal agreement with Monroe County for a food-waste pilot program and associated grant funding. That item was decided by roll call; Vice President Palacio, Member Burke, Member Kaye, Member Hughes, Member Kazakos and President Scott recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed.
Human resources items were also approved on the consent agenda: the professional-staff report (11 certificated staff appointments, 5 regular-substitute-to-probationary appointments, 2 school-related appointments, one administrator retirement and other certificated resignations) and multiple support-staff personnel actions (clerical, transportation, custodial and food-service appointments and resignations).
