San Luis Obispo launches Belonging Project to boost community inclusion

"The Belonging Project is designed to spark meaningful conversations, promote understanding, and provide tools for everyone to build stronger, more inclusive relationships within our community," Pennin said. The effort will include workshops, cultural events, community dialogues and collaborative partnerships, he said.
Pennin urged residents to contribute ideas and suggested approaches to guide the project’s activities. "We want your ideas and and suggestions to make sure that the Belonging Project is meaningful and impactful for our community," he said, and directed listeners to submit proposals at slocity.org.
No funding levels, schedules for specific workshops or event dates were provided in the announcement. Pennin concluded by inviting community participation at future events: "We hope to see you there at the next event."
