The Carroll County Board of Supervisors certified a recent closed session and approved routine business items at its January meeting, including minutes, the consent calendar and invoices. The board also voted to send officers to National Police Week and to appoint Greg Hawkes to the county’s PSA board.
The meeting opened with a motion to conclude closed session; the chair read a certification resolution under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (Va. Code §2.2‑3711) and each supervisor stated, “I so certify.” The board then approved minutes for Jan. 5 and Jan. 15, 2026, the distributed consent calendar and the listed invoices by roll‑call votes.
The board voted to send officers to National Police Week, a May event that memorializes fallen law‑enforcement officers; the motion to authorize attendees carried on a roll call of supervisors. In old business, the board moved to appoint Greg Hawkes to the PSA board. Mr. Collins and Mr. Moore abstained from that vote; other supervisors voted to approve the appointment.
Board business concluded with member comments and an adjournment vote.
