Warren County Fiscal Court approves routine contracts, appointments and emergency repairs

The court approved several procurement and contract items, including a 3.7% CPI increase for Aramark food service; a 12‑month contract extension with Mike’s Pest Control for $14,640 (ending Feb. 2027); a 12‑month contract extension with MCS Landscape for $79,905 for mowing and landscape maintenance (ending Feb. 2027); and a 12‑month contract extension for parks pest control and mowing services. The court also authorized equipment purchases for the sheriff’s department (vehicle outfitting and radios) and approved emergency determinations to address repairs at county facilities.
Professional services awards included a $169,700 determination to Sewell and Sewell Architects for emergency operations center and safe room design (FEMA‑related), and an $84,000 determination to Sewell and Sewell for drug task force facility design. The court approved orders appointing members to the Warren County Technical Rescue Team board and appointed members to the industrial revenue bond (IRB) committee and Bowling Green ITA board. Lease agreements with Enterprise Fleet for vehicles for parks and the sheriff’s department were also approved.
Motions were offered from the floor for each item, followed by roll calls where recorded; the record shows unanimous or near‑unanimous approval on routine items, with a single abstention noted for one technical rescue appointment. The treasurer reported claims across multiple funds and the court moved to pay bills.
