Board approves agenda, enters and certifies closed session at Aug. 28 work session
Summary

At the start of the Aug. 28 Henrico County School Board work session the board took three formal procedural actions. Miss Kinsella moved to approve the meeting agenda; Mr. Irving seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
Later in the meeting Mr. Young moved that the board go into closed session under the personnel exception of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (Va. Code §2.2‑3711(a)(1)) to discuss assignment, appointment, promotion, performance, demotion, salaries, discipline or resignation of specific school board employees; Miss Atkins seconded and the motion passed. After the closed session the board reconvened in open session and, by motion and recorded vote, certified that only matters lawfully exempt from the open‑meeting requirements were discussed in closed session; the certification passed.
No personnel actions were announced in open session following certification.
