County warns of Feb. 10 Tyler upgrade downtime; eRecording vendors may be affected

Sheridan County staff and commissioners briefed the board on Jan. 12 that the county’s Tyler software upgrade is scheduled for around Feb. 10 and that some county offices will temporarily lose access during the upgrade window.
Jack Thompson of the recording division told commissioners the counter will remain open and staff will accept recordings in person while the eRecording vendor may be unavailable for one day. Thompson said he plans to notify title companies, banks and vendors that eRecording will be limited for that period and that staff will enter recordings the next day.
Commissioners discussed whether any offices needed to close; staff said most functions — including payroll — will not be affected and that departments will use paper processes where needed and upload records after the upgrade.
Staff will circulate a memo and update the county website and customer notices as details are finalized.
