County finance presents FY25 fourth-quarter reappropriations; action set for Aug. 12

Shenandoah County finance staff presented the board with the fourth-quarter FY25 reappropriations, describing the work as routine housekeeping to move unanticipated revenues into their proper expenditure lines.
"Tonight, we're presenting information only — the fourth quarter reappropriations for fiscal year 25," said Jesse Cloyd, finance manager. He said typical reappropriations include grant reimbursements, reimbursement for incurred expenses and donations.
Cloyd told the board the reappropriations will be presented for action at the board’s next meeting on Aug. 12. Several supervisors used the briefing to acknowledge strong participation in parks and recreation programs, which contributed to some of the unanticipated revenues noted in the reappropriation schedules.
No formal action was taken tonight; staff will return with the items for a formal vote in August.
