Rawlins city staff on Tuesday previewed a draft of a new CityView newsletter that the city plans to mail to every household and PO box three times a year and to publish online. The newsletter will appear in April, August and December and include department updates and a four-month recreation preview, staff said.
"We'll get a sample in a couple days probably to review to proof before we go to print," said city staff who presented the draft. Staff described the issue in the meeting packet as content-focused rather than final design, and said an online version will include working links to emails and websites.
The project is tied to the city's strategic-plan initiative on community trust and engagement, staff said. Council members and staff will review a proof before the first print run; residents can sign up for digital notification at rollinswy.org/notify to receive the newsletter electronically when it is released.
No formal action was taken. Staff asked for council feedback and said they will issue a broader news release in the coming week.
