NASHVILLE — Members of the Tennessee House of Representatives recognized Amore A. Dixie following a formal proclamation read on the floor commending her selection as Miss Tennessee State University.
Representative Vincent Dixie introduced Ms. Dixie and asked the House to join in the recognition. The clerk read a proclamation praising her campus leadership, work with the women’s and counseling centers, and service on campus committees. In accepting the proclamation Amore A. Dixie thanked the General Assembly and said the role is “humbling and deeply meaningful.” She said she is proud to represent Tennessee State University and its students.
Representative Dixie invited members to join for a photograph on the floor following the ceremony. The recognition concluded without formal action required by the House.
