The Colorado Ag Commission on Aug. 21 approved six projects recommended for the second round of agrivoltaics research and demonstration grants totaling $500,000.
Kristine Boysen, who leads the department’s Agricultural Drought and Climate Resilience Office (ADCRO), said the grant program (funded through SD 2392, 2023) received 25 applications requesting more than $3 million. Program staff and a diverse evaluation panel recommended six projects that the department will fund after applicants agreed to modest budget reductions to allow broader funding.
