Buildings & Properties committee members spent an extended period discussing special-event permits after jurors and citizens raised concerns about advertising for outdoor activities at the 4‑H Building and whether the parish’s existing restriction should apply uniformly across all parish properties. Staff said an application had been filed and was pending sheriff's office review for parade-route security; jurors asked that the issue be scheduled on the regular meeting agenda for further consideration and possible policy changes.
