The Northern Lebanon School District Board of Directors handled several procedural and action items during its Feb. 10 meeting, approving a clinic agreement, adopting an attendance policy and confirming a personnel redesignation.
The board approved the consent agenda (items 7.1–12.1) by voice vote after a motion and second. A redesignation to move Misty Pass from building substitute to long-term substitute, retroactive to Feb. 2 to cover a teacher on medical leave, was moved and seconded and adopted unanimously.
The administration presented a primary care services agreement for a clinic in Lebanon, an item discussed previously by committee. There were no substantive questions and the board approved the agreement unanimously by voice vote.
On policy, administration removed an extracurricular-policy item pending verification with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) to ensure eligibility language did not conflict with PIAA rules. The attendance policy, which added habitually-truant language to prevent students deemed habitually truant from transferring to cyber schools to avoid attendance consequences, was approved for implementation; administrators said they will run suggested revisions through legal counsel and PIAA before returning to the board with final edits.
The board adjourned after routine reports and a construction update on the new elementary/athletic-field work.
Actions at a glance: agenda adopted; consent agenda approved (7.1–12.1); redesignation of Misty Pass approved; primary care services agreement approved (item 13.2); attendance policy (13.4) adopted.
Next steps: administration will provide revised policy language as needed after legal and PIAA review and will continue to report on construction and CTC developments.
