The Town of Templeton Community Preservation Committee approved routine business and several procedural measures during its February meeting.
The committee voted to approve minutes from its January 8 regular meeting and January 8 needs analysis meeting. An unidentified committee member moved to approve the minutes and the motion passed by roll call with affirmative votes recorded.
The committee also accepted a staff recommendation to close out a drapes restoration grant and revert $705.29 to the historic reserve resources. Unidentified Speaker 3 moved the reversion; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
On administrative budgeting, members agreed to continue using CPA administrative funds to cover part of the town administrative assistant’s compensation for the coming year. Committee discussion confirmed the assistant works roughly 8 hours per week; staff indicated the cost is less than half of the committee’s administrative budget and that an exact dollar figure will be provided to the committee later. The motion to continue funding the position from CPA administrative funds was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
The committee closed these items to focus on larger warrant articles to be drafted for submission to the select board and possible placement on the May 13 town meeting warrant.
Next procedural steps include drafting formal warrant language and submitting it to the select board for review and potential placement on the May 13, 2026 town meeting agenda.
